I’ve mistakenly used an electrified fly swatter to kill one of these - it resulted in the creature exploding into three still temporarily mobile pieces, one blasting directly at me. I’ve never moved quicker in my entire life. Do not attempt.

Lastly, it would also imply that a form of electricity had existed and was in some way controllable in the past of Planetos - not sure if that’s to big of leap. Another fun but unlikely idea, Lightbringer is irradiated w/perhaps a lead sheath - tho it’d probably poison/kill anyone near it🤣

I think all these options would have to be, from “lost” eastern (Valyrian) technology or privileged Asshaii knowledge, it would mean Mel provided the sword and knows it’s just an instrument to manipulate the wielder, and the appearance characteristic would completely mystify regular people…

… Option 1. The sword has been coated with a radium-like paint (look it up).
Option 2. The sword has been processed via PVD or anodizing giving the sword a multi-color and iridescent appearance which could look quite vibrant in the right light.
Option 3. Sword coated in thermochromic liquid crystal
