When they revamped the Veteran's Committee they reduced the number of players on the ballot from 10 to 8, and reduced the number of votes each voter gets from 4 to 3 so it's a more difficult route to election.

The eras committees should be comprised of more qualified people like Jayson Stark, with less influence from players and managers.
