I have to say, even though I've been into astronomy (on and off) since the late 80s I did not know Mercury had a plasma tail that can be visible on photos, but it seems to be true, now I want to take my own image of it!
That orange streak is Mercury with its glowing sodium plasma tail, passing in front of the Pleiades cluster.
