Yes, same exposure for both, but the one with us has a much brighter sky because it was taken at like 6:30am and the other was taken at like 4:00am.

Yes, these were 2 different shots that were put together. I was going to try to do this in one shot on our last day at this location, but we overslept lol So one day I plan on trying to get a similar image in one shot - if I can.
