This is what worries me about Iran not the protests but any vacuum filled in their government falling, by the self interests of foreign countries.

The US is broken, no checks and balances, massive gap between the have and have nots, hugely polarized population and abusing power both inside the US and within the rest of the world. This is what happens when acquiring wealth for the already wealthy is the only aim.

Wow, did you actually write that? You steal their land and give them little patches of 'sovereign states', it is just history repeating itself. The world needs to ban any religion or ideology that gives permission to steal from or harms another humans. Palestinians are just trying to survive.

As for the land, with your reasoning the US belongs to native Americans and the best part of the UK is owned by Romans! Calling them Arabs is a generalisation bordering on racism, it's like calling Mexicans native Americans. They do not live in Arabia, they live in Palestine.

Okay, firstly, saying something happens isn't justification and you are missing the point of why. This happens because they have no effective laws to protect them from what is happening.

Not enough is being shown of the 2000 released Palestinian captives, 2000 of 8000. That, on top of all the killing, is appalling fact and Israel has told the families of returning West Bank captives that there will be repercussions if they publicly celebrate getting family back.

You have to ask why they recruit child soldiers? Surely it is an overreaction to mild grievances? Surely they have not faced a viscous, brutal, oppressive occupation for approaching 80 years where their basic human rights just don't exist? Palestine is their land, no one else's.

I think you have been reading too much one sided propaganda, if your media let's you see how many children captives are handed back to the Palestinians families perhaps you will reconsider.

I have to disagree, the sheer numbers that are held from both Gaza and the West bank suggest otherwise. It is an fallacy (and racist) to think that being a Palestinian makes you a criminal. Still, it is better a living captive than a bullet ridden murder victim.

Agreed, 6 months for that crime is appalling. He deserves way more as he was in both a position of power and trust.

I fear for Palestine, effective control will be handed over to two Israeli favouring conmen from countries that created this appalling situation in the first place, providing Hamas agrees. Talk about a rock and a hard place!

Biden was still too right wing, but not the racist in the presidential role. Fundamentally the US doesn't have a democracy, nothing really other than hard right government choices and corporation dependent rather than serving the population.

What I don't get is why would anyone oppose this? It seems like a bare minimum right for a species that is able to extract and shape resources.

Why would they not? It would stop these attacks without diplomacy. Imagine if Iran (or anyone else) just attacked either of these countries because they thought there was a chance that one day they could have a super virus to wipe out a city...
