I guess that I just am, a simple man.
One of the reasons I use non-systemd distros is that it saves RAM if (eg. comparing Devuan KDE with Debian KDE, Devuan uses 700-800MB less RAM). This is important for old hardware with low RAM. Gnome is not a DE that is good for this use case as it uses a lot more RAM. Xfce of LXQt are better.
