Saw The Primitives at Night and Day Cafe Mcr last night. Good venue though it is - absurdly small for such an excellent band. They were on fine form. Many great songs, but 'Crash' is one of my favourite songs of all time so to see that live was a bucket list kinda thing.

Great night watching The Look Back Bores at AATMA above my much loved Peer Hat pub in the Northern Quarter - the second time this year. They perform excellent versions of songs by The Fall which capture them brilliantly. #thefall #lookbackbores #peerhat #peerhatmanchester

We went watching Echobelly last week - 30th anniversary of the On album - and also of when I saw them last them too! They were fantastic - what a beautiful voice she has, then and now. #echobelly

Wigan Diggers Festival at the weekend - great blend of music, politics, camaraderie and booze as always - and a welcome antidote to the fascist filth going on elsewhere. #wigandiggers #wigan #gerrardwinstanley

It's good but he'll never match the unforced natural look Davey sports here. Pure class.

Fantastic night last night watching The Look Back Bores playing at AATMA Manchester (above The Peer Hat pub). They're an excellent band, with two seperate 'Marks' who play songs by The Fall from throughout their long career.

On International Women's Day: thinking of the heroic women of #Rojava, and the society of freedom, equality and emancipation which they have fought, literally, to create. I dearly hope their society can continue to thrive despite the threats of its enemies. #IWD2025

David Lynch. An incredible artist, and true visionary. My joint favourite filmmaker.

As for Twin Peaks....the original together with 'The Return' is my fave TV of all time.

So long David and thanks for everything. Here's a few things I've got to remember him by.
