𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐤’𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Brilliant to join the British Poultry Council’s annual awards.

Great to catch up with Chairman Martin Troop on this year’s infrastructure report: real ambition on investment into place, people and trade.

Huge thanks to Rachael and the team at Tesco Harford Bridge for welcoming me today and letting me help with the FareShare collection. In just 3 days, customers donated over 45 boxes of food and toys.

South Norfolk’s compassion shines through every time.

Brilliant energy at Framingham Earl High School for #UKParliamentWeek.

The class grilled me like a room of mini Jeremy Paxmans: climate, immigration, animal welfare and even fiscal drag!

Young people are switched on and ready to lead. Thanks for having me!

🚗 Nearly got run over filming this one… but worth it!

Great chats in Marlingford today about rat-run traffic, the Budget, and your local priorities. If I missed you, there’s a card through your door, or contact me via my website.

Great to meet Todd Baker in Parliament to hear about North Farm Livestock’s award-winning free range pork.

A brilliant local family business and now Producer of the Year! Learn more: www.northfarmlivestock.co.uk

Standing up for freedom matters.

Met Chloe Cheung from the Committee for Freedom in Hong Kong to discuss how the UK can better protect Hongkongers from political persecution. Her testimony on fleeing repression was powerful. We must defend free expression.

Ever wondered what Parliament is really like?

It was a pleasure to welcome Peter and Val for a tour of the Palace of Westminster today. I offer these tours to all South Norfolk constituents, if you're interested, email me: ben.goldsborough.mp@parliament.uk

Thank you to the Jewish Leadership Council and the Antisemitism Policy Trust for meeting with me today. I’ll keep doing all I can to support our Jewish community and ensure everyone feels safe in Norfolk and across the UK.

❄️ Rail fares frozen for the first time since they were sold off: yes please!

This will make a big difference to those using Wymondham, Spooner Row & Haddiscoe stations in South Norfolk. 🚆

Policies like this are what Labour Governments do.

𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐤’𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞?

I visited British Sugar’s Cantley plant: a huge part of our rural economy. Fascinating to see beet turned into granulated sugar. Massive thanks to Andy for the tour. Buy British, back British farmers!

Huge thanks to everyone who attended my Long Stratton coffee morning today. Most attended I’d say I’ve ever had.

Huge shout out to the constituent who brought along his photo of Denis Healey meeting his Keeshond (same breed as my Timo)! 🐕 I obviously have the best constituents!

Big news for rural residents!

I’ve been pushing hard to make sure rural heating oil users are heard, and we’ve secured a Government consultation on cleaner, like-for-like sustainable fuels. Have your say here: www.gov.uk/government/c...

A fantastic, energetic evening was had last night!

Great to have Karin Smyth MP, Minister of State for Health and MP for Bristol South, speaking with South Norfolk Labour Party about all things NHS, becoming a minister and how we have a huge job to get on with.

Thank you Karin for your time!

Parliament turned green yesterday!

Brilliant to host the Horticultural Trades Association for Plants in Parliament.

Wonderful to see MPs, Peers and staff queueing round the building for British-grown plants. Huge thanks to the HTA and growers: I’ll keep championing UK horticulture.

🎥 Proud moment for South Norfolk:

This week I joined a reception celebrating the BBC’s apprenticeship programme, where one of our own local apprentices is thriving. The BBC isn’t perfect, but it trains the next generation of producers, writers and journalists who serve our country.

Road casualties in Norfolk have risen more than anywhere else. That should alarm every one of us. Rural road safety is personal to me and over 900 people have taken my survey. I’m fighting for safer school gates and safer villages because South Norfolk deserves nothing less.

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭.

Labour is stepping up support for those who’ve served our country. We’re rolling out veterans’ support centres nationwide so it’s easier to get help with healthcare, housing, and finding a new job. Proud to back this work for our forces community.

South Norfolk will not be an afterthought.

I brought Recoup’s Ian Steward to Downing Street to make sure our local businesses are heard at the heart of government. I’m determined to muscle South Norfolk into every room that matters so our voice shapes the Autumn Budget.

Retail workers deserve protection.

Great to join the team at the Wymondham Co-Op for #FreedomFromFear week.

We've scrapped the £200 threshold for police action & new laws to protect shopworkers from abuse and violence will be in place by May. @usdawunion.bsky.social

At last: progress for WASPI women.

The Government’s review of its decision on compensation is a step in the right direction: something I’ve long called for.

There’s a long way to go and I’ll keep standing up for WASPI women in South Norfolk and across the UK. #WASPI #Fairness

Met with Royal Mail to discuss local postal services. Top of the list: issues in Framingham Earl and Poringland.

They’ve had teething problems since the Norwich move but are confident things will improve. I also raised Long Stratton’s growth they’re planning ahead.
November 12, 2025 at 3:38 PM
Secured a meeting with Konnect Bus after their takeover of many routes in South Norfolk: part of my campaign for better buses in places like Wymondham.

Raised issues with routes 6, 60, 1 & 85, antisocial behaviour, and pushed for new stops in the Hampdens and Bawburgh/Little Melton.
