I believe a way the governments can create a healthier future is to invest in more athletic figures in the political world. Not only to have the popular name, but use them to support healthy living and create programs that will be seen by everyone.

I agree with your ideas, although that it wouldn't be perfect and not everyone would participate in these programs. Perhaps an incentive like we talked about in class with tax credits or alternatively making it cheaper to maintain health.

Going to many Riders games throughout this season it shocked me how much alcohol really does effect crowd violence. The difference between oil country and regular seating was night and day.

Going back to the grid on the board in the Thursday class, I though it was surprising how different the gender diversity was between the national news sources. 9-1 for Sportsnet and 6-4 for global mail.

A prime example of deviance in sport, the Deflategate scandal. Although it was not completely confirmed, in the 2015 Super bowl the New England Patriots (Tom Brady) were accused of deflating the ball in order to assist their team in winning.

With a kinesiology degree I would like to work with sports teams as a physical therapist. I believe that staying physically active and taking part in rec sports will aid in communication skills and the physical demand required to perform the actions of the career.

Playing football and experiencing this first hand this is a great resource. Although it sucks not to be in the play or not be able to watch your favourite player on the field, it makes such a great impact on long term issues such as CTE (Chronic traumatic encephalopathy).

The Las Vegas Raiders have a huge advantage with Tom Brady being the top analyst spot for Fox News and being in their booth. This demonstrates Conflict theory, as Brady's social class and privileges allow him to do so.

Conflict grows as Tom Brady balances Fox role and Raiders ownership
Tom Brady was spotted in the Raiders’ coaching box, wearing a headset and studying a tablet. Is this a conflict with Fox Sports?

I believe a sport is an activity that involves keeping score, and that involves physical activity whether that is competitive or not. In the case that no score is kept I would define it as the action of improving ones physical abilities.
