I wasn’t criticising you by the way; this is very interesting and important stuff. Understandably, the researchers and the newspaper go with what seems most man-bites-dog, but the underlying story is that most Jews still support the mainstream parties at higher levels than the whole population does.

The Guardian quotes @jprdata.bsky.social calling the Green vote “paradoxical” (“for a significant minority of Jews, domestic priorities and progressive values outweigh foreign policy concerns”) BUT in fact it seems much of the Jewish Green vote comes from the growing minority who are not Zionist…

Have you seen his attacks on @wienerlibrary.bsky.social as “genocidaires”? — not because of some imagined complicity post-2023 or even post-Nakba but from its very inception in 1940 [sic], which has the jaw-dropping implication that he thinks the ones fighting the Nazis were the bad guys in WWII.

It’s quite extraordinary watching his radicalisation in real time. The foundations are now very visible with hindsight in his earlier work, but obviously he could have gone in so many other directions…
