Here’s a thought: with the use of the word “clanker” now seemingly taking off - will there be a version of AI model that learns the term and its context, and develops a level of animosity towards people who use it?

Trump refuses to reveal his plans for Iran. That’s ok, we’ll just read about it in Pete Hegseth’s Signal Chats

In these times, one has to wonder: Where is Kendall Jenner and a can of Pepsi when you really need them?

With futures up this much, it’s in some ways an admission that the tariff policy was exactly as badly thought out as plenty of economists warned.
Those buying into the market today and celebrating trumps success should surely see that we’re basically back to the starting point?

While there seems to be relief in the media this morning about Trump not immediately firing Powell, that sentences like “This shows there are some guardrails around this president,…” @financialtimes.com
shouldn’t have to be written in the first place.

If MAGA Republicans spent more time being good at things than whining on the news, maybe they’d actually be respectable

One of the upsetting parts about this whole US situation is that Trump and his team aren’t even being skilful manipulators.

They are not even good at pretending to follow up on what they promised, they were so lazy they skipped right to the gaslight and lie stage

This whole Signal situation is perhaps the most embarrassing public fuck-up I have ever seen politically, and the way these people are responding to it, attacking journalists and calling others liars, shows such incompetence it boggles the mind how anybody is ok with this?

Asked about the demise of his misguided CDC nomination, Dave Weldon said, "It is a shock, but, you know, in some ways, it's relief."

Oddly enough, I had roughly the same reaction. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...
Facing bipartisan opposition, White House abandons outlandish CDC nominee
If Matt Gaetz was Donald Trump’s first personnel fiasco, Dave Weldon is definitely his second.

There should be a better calendar app out there. Am I the only one who feels like none of them work the way we would really want them to?

Can we have a discussion at some point about why investors are still tolerating Elon? It seems obvious that he is not devoting serious times to his duties as Chief Executive of Tesla, and even his value from a marketing perspective has to at least become dampened because of his widespread hostility?
