I have a world I'm writing where there is no moon, but since the characters don't know that a moon is something that can exist, I can't draw attention to it by having one of them think about its absence. So I find myself wondering if it's too subtle a thing for a reader to even notice.

He was gambling on Dedra being too preoccupied with the radio to notice him stabbing himself, and she would've noticed him choking on his own blood.

But then there wouldn't have been the dramatic reveal, you gotta have the dramatic reveal.

This being shorthand for: I don't think he planned to do so, Dedra caught him off-guard and he improvised with what he had on hand.

I said this after season one, but this season solidified it for me: the themes and soul of Andor, the tone and intensity, it's exactly the sort of Star Wars I would make if given the chance, and that I try to put into the fic I write. Incredible.
