Had a tragic instance of it close to home, oh, 40 plus years ago, and was infuriated by the media describing it as jilted-boyfriend territory. The arsonist was long separated from the woman, who died with four housemates, but the credulous reporter simply filed the killer’s version.

Laura, I was similarly pleased to be completing my city’s July walking challenge, and with TWO miles left to go on July 30, I ended up in the ER with severe vertigo, one IV, one MRI, and a firm directive not to finish the walk on July 31. My husband was not wheedled into taking me for a walk anyway.

Finally took it from Colorado to Emeryville in September. Even in coach: spectacular. Another favorite of mine is NYC to Montreal.

I’m one of them but I’m on bluesky to read not write. You were the best source of political information/links on twitter and I was grateful when you landed here.

My dream read I am looking forward to this year. I love Tess Monaghan but Mrs. Blossom! My 70-year-old heart has been withering from the constant ageism and is looking to bloom.
