Writer, hopeful for tomorrow, trying to taking a break from worry - it’s going about how you’d think. Interested in the origin of ideas and philosophies.
Leave it to modern scientists to assume the human condition is random.

I can’t believe Godaddy forced us to 365 from workspaces and now charges the price of the moon for an email box that doesn’t even work in the “New” Outlook.

You’d think with trillions of dollars, these companies could work out things better than potato style.

I’ve seen other people say this too, but I remember being diagnosed in 5 minutes from a questionnaire of like 3 questions back in 2000s. They were then happy to shove Adderall at me which I think I took for 2 weeks before realizing it’s just a mild meth. There’s no easy route for the wildly minded.

That makes sense. I think there are many in a similar boat. Who knows, I may be taken down one day, but I feel compelled to keep the battle going. Best of luck to you and continued good times.

It is sad though if you think about it that we’ve confined ourselves in this world that practically mandates drug use. I can remember when I was first prescribed adderall and how great and focused I felt, but it seemed unhealthy so abandoned it after a few weeks. Running and fractional work…

I’d argue that it’s only real in our society. If we were to return to a simpler time with clear cut motivations like hunt/build to survive then it wouldn’t exist. One could argue that society can’t change so drugs are needed, but this is only half of the coin.

Ahh, the ole quiet down threat approach. Foolish. Just mute or block me then, but my words of worry come from personal experience and the consistently short sighted insights of many “therapists” (i.e. drug dealers)

That’s the problem. Trying to help people is a noble pursuit, but throwing pills at a problem to feel good today while ignoring the rest of a person’s life is beyond short sighted. Exercise is “as effective” as these drugs - probably more so long term, and has only positive side effects. Risky

Your focus is vaguely on classification while mine is on the reality of these choices you are downplaying. All these drugs affect neurotransmitter levels, and all have withdrawal. Perhaps DRIs have a more mild profile, but it’s reckless to ignore the long term risks for short term “perks”.

Both cause horrible withdrawal effects that cause millions to stay dependent to them.

You classify drugs differently than I do.

Please Google withdrawal symptoms for your drug of choice before being so excited. Xanax can make a person feel great before the world collapses. The same is true for many drugs, but SSRIs are nuts to commit lifelong to, which is essentially what happens.

For better, or worse, I think the idea of a federal workflow may be over. Seems misguided at best.

I’d love to experience that. I just joined yesterday and have had people lose their minds when I said the primary priority is to get Harris elected versus some concern of theirs. I fear the internet is just angry people these days.
