Hope my person will like it not sure what colours they are into.

##SecretSantaAoNZ I like to cook straight from the garden. I'm learning the ukelele this year. I read or listen to audio books while I cross stitch ( nearly finished a 3 year project) I build model cars and bake for charity. I enjoy life, lots of things on my list I want to do. I don't run.

Pierced ears. Necklaces, bracelets and rings. Not too fussed about materials used.

My favorite pieces are my shell necklaces.

I love that jewellery has a personal story to tell.
Going to move this question for #SecretSantaAoNZ forward a few days since it's come up.
What jewellery do you wear? Necklaces? Bracelets? Clip-ons or pierced earrings? Rings? Anklets? Arm bands? Gold? Silver? Pewter? Copper? Or plastic like Hoggle?

I collect cookbooks, nice scented candles, indoor plants, art, shoes, wine (I try), small interesting pottery bowls, and good empty cardboard boxes (you never know when you need an empty box)
Question time #SecretSantaAoNZ
What do you collect? If you were a dragon what would you hoard?

Favorite foods ethnic cuisines for the exploration of flavors. I have a dedicated drawer in my kitchen with mainly Japanese and Thai ingredients at the moment.
Whittaker hazelnut or brandy snap chocolate and red liquorice Morale boosters.

No dietary concerns

Don't like mushrooms unless in soup.
Time for another question #SecretSantaAoNZ
What are your favourite foods? Least favourite? What can't you eat? What are your go to foods FOR MORALE?

Today was look after me day and it started with an xray.
...Plant shopping,
...Mammogram,
...coffee, a slice of plum frangipani tart,
...a wander through the art gallery
...bookshop browsing,
...a manicure and pedi

and finished with a couple of bargains.

Best use of a day off work.

To my suprise, the public system has already sent me an x-ray appointment for Monday.

Breakfast Eggs Benedict this morning. I only make it maybe once or twice a year now.

The costs to make are getting up there.

It makes me appreciate eggs Benedict from a café more. Especially when they have a good hollandaise.

Our own ‘war on woke’ is well underway
The latest Gender Attitudes Survey makes depressing reading for those concerned about gender equality. The view that equality has gone too far is strongest among men aged 18-34.

Sharing my bright spot in a crazy work day.

I snapped this picture at lunch time. I have 3 tuis that have taken up residence in my 1/4 acre suburban garden and on occasion 2 wood pigeons too.

When we moved here there were no trees.

Ps. This ornamental cherry tree was self seeded.

I support the women and children of Gaza.

I don't support the men in suits who tell us they know better.

They don't speak for me.

Last week I had a nice long weekend out of town with my sister and her cute kids. I was home only one day and awoke sick with a lurgy.

Good news:
The weekend is here soon.
It's not covid.
I can wfh

Bad news:
I think I'm allergic to children.
It happens every time I visit.
I suck as a patient

Popped home at lunch. To my delight, my suburan garden had a visitor.

Managed to get a quick photo which was an added bonus.
