I get you, but we're in such a strong position & only going to build upon that further as will no doubt have been part of the conditions for Mo and Virg signing. That's why I thought he may have had a last minute change of heart as he's praised Arne.

I just think they're pissed off 😂 They were prepared to make him the highest paid LB in the prem weren't they. Only a few days ago Linda even did 👀 to someone wanting Trent to sign.

He has wanted to leave for a while though (only signed 4y contract) and RM have been courting him for 2y. You can't force someone who wants to go. It's not on them this one. It's all Trent.

It's such bad timing when this should have been joyous party time. I actually think it would be better if he didn't even come to Anfield on sunday. Maybe this is his way of making the break easier 🤷🏼♀️ Make yourself hated so it justifies going and eases the breakup???

Dya know he doesn't even seem to care & that stings. All the little signs he's made & things he's said I don't get why he did them if he was intending to leave-it doesn't compute. It just feels like he's led us up the garden path & we don't like being taken for fools-that's prob why ppl r emotional

Yes he has-both things can be true.I doubt anyone minds him moving on- it's the manner in which he's done it that people are upset about. It feels like he's shafted us. Like shitting on your doorstep. He's been v disingenuous. And what hurts is that he knows we're a frugal club. Disappointed.

I personally am not bothered about points - I'd rather give these rarest of opportunities to play B team/youngsters to help their development/see if they're able to step up in order to increase our strength in the entire squad and reduce injury risk to major players

Injury, fatigue and potential shattering of confidence with 2 consecutive first team defeats. The pressure to win will have just doubled as they risk failure in both comps by also dropping out of 2nd.
