To be fair, everything officially released so far from this film looks *nightmarishly awful* and its concept alone is a textbook example of creative bankruptcy

LNWTD lost me the moment I saw that the film maker couldn’t be bothered shooting the TV / film sections on actual film, and used garbage looking plug-in faux TV / film effects. 16mm isn’t expensive to shoot on. “I don’t care about detail” was the message. Spell-breaking, so I turned it off.

To be fair, that honour belongs to Dune Part II which didn’t remind us every 5 minutes how much it relied on CGI.

Romulus is a creatively bankrupt film which deserves no celebration. Yet because of its financial success, more of this garbage is imminent.
