A bold depiction of the magical battle axe Ascension; the creation of the Nameless One as part of his Triad of Tests in joining the Godsmen Faction. The axe is formed of a twin serpent coiling round itself to form the handle, rising to the axe head of two hands, with a singular eye in the centre. The colours are pinks, purples, yellows and greens. It is mystical and both intriguing and disturbing.

This might be my favourite episode so far. It's not a cheery one, mind. But in quite a sprawling story, it cuts to the heart of the central conflict. It is the 'midpoint' after all.

Last year when I kicked off act 2 of the series, I wanted to do a non-digital media artwork for each episode. I love digital art, but spend so much time looking at screens, I wanted an good reason to creatively engage without.
