The real issue is that requirements for highly classified information demand the software + hardware + physical environment + policy and process are all factors and evaluated individually and in combination according to strict standards. There is not a single redeeming element here
🧵: The issue with discussing classified operations on Signal isn’t really Signal itself. It’s open source, it’s pretty secure, and it’s audited! But it’s also not designed for discussing top secret ops.

1) Many underestimate the investment the PRC has put into influencing the US social media sphere.
2) The destruction of Trust and Safety at X has made it a playground for PRC actors.
