I was not made aware of why that change took place nor did I ever ask. It may have been as simple as giving him a growth spurt but I can’t say. And it was less making him a copy of Kevin and more making him an opposite of what he once was for shock value - from small and chubby to tall and athletic.

Glen Murakami was the Executive Producer and Art Director so he had the final say in how all of the artwork looked. Glenn Wong was the Lead Character Designer.

Ben 10 redesign concept art

This was a brief gig, but they let me pick a favorite from my designs and take it to color.

I believe all Omnitrix designs for AF and UA were done by Norm Ryang.

I don't remember our discussions clearly (it's been over a decade) but I think Liam is the DNA donor.

The Synthroid in Moonstruck was inspired by The Terminator, but I’d say he’s more like the former, an alien robot “race/species.”

Personally, I try to keep continuity as much as I can, like how BEN 10 AF & UA continued 5 years later after BEN 10. But sometimes the powers that be want us to make changes that contradict the previous iteration, like how Ben was inexplicably way less mature in OMNI than he had been in AF & UA.

Only the ones that had toys have species & home worlds. Kevin Rubio & I made them up for the toy packages.

If it was in the show, then yes.
If there was a toy, then yes.
If it was not in the show and there was no toy, then no.

Ben has already beaten their robots. Inspector 13 isn't a Builder; he's an Inspector. The builders are something else. Grabbing the omnimatrix is more of a bonus. Any weaponmaster would have tried for it.

No one knows how many weaponmasters there are. No one's ever seen them and lived. Until now.

Dwayne McDuffie wrote in the series’ premiere that the reason 10-year-old Ben stopped using the Omnitrix was because what happened to Feedback was his fault.

My guess is, the gunship, but whatever feels right to the viewer is the correct answer. Dialog choices like this are often made up as we go along.

Yes, this is my script (how did you get a copy?), so apparently at the time, the show runner Dwayne McDuffie and I thought he could go FTL. Other show runners, like Matt and Derrick, felt differently. It isn't a matter of right or wrong, just personal taste. Besides, this is all make-believe, right?

Ben/Alien X was able to recreate the Universe *after* the Annihilarrgh detonated. So, that's probably a no. But as I've said to others (unless all of these Ben 10 questions I get are coming from one person with a lot of aliases), that's only my opinion. Your results may vary.
