To be clear this wasn't actually a river, just a path that had a flooded.

I was just out for a quick run, I didn't carry a bag and I've never heard of a water shoe...but thanks!

In the end I had to just bite the bullet and wade through. My shoes are waterproof but not when you're shin deep in water.
