Saw something similar happen with a local band. They'd been together for years then hired a PR company, nuked their socials and relaunched with a new name + highly produced videos and singles. From the outside it probably looked like they came out of nowhere, fully-formed.

this is incorrect. It's a progressive tax, so only income over $125,000 is taxed. If you made $125k, you'd owe $0. If you made $126k, your PFA tax would be $15.
