One of the most annoying parts of having a super-duty Amex account is learning just how many ways you can't use your super-duper Amex account. What's the point if you can't buy a car on your credit card?

Look at how much we used to give a crap about inspirational and epic imagery in education. The publisher spent time and money on this shot. Houghton Mifflin, 1957.

Weird Facebook ads... come on, I am not Quentin Tarantino.

It is 7:59 pm on a Thursday and I am explaining how to solve algebra equations to a six year old because George W. Bush thought federalizing curriculum was a good idea and let a bunch of beuaracrats set standards while actively ignoring educators.

I sneak jarred sweet red cabbage into her peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. She hasn't called me out once.

Welcome to Michigan, land of the drivable wreck. That dent was rusted, this is old damage. I wonder how long this guy's been driving this Patriot around like that. How many tires has he worn to the cords? Not even mad, impressed. He was keeping up with traffic no problem.

Anybody else ever think about the tremendously huge car culture footprint Vector left for company that only ever produced 40-something cars including prototypes? Truly, a modern Tucker.

A 55 gallon drum of Goo Gone is impressive and has hilarious implications, but just think about how much that would be at retail, and how much profit they're taking on you when this drum still makes money. www.grainger.com/product/1NNW...
Whoops, we couldn't find that.

I kind of can't wait for the end of Stranger Things when it turns out Barb is alive and the lynchpin who saves the world and gets a happy ending.

If you've ever worked on cars as a hobby or burden, this channel Garbage Time is 100%, exactly the experience and made 50% more fun to watch on account of the Aussie accent and style of humor.

Damn, guess I have to break out a real dusty bottle of champagne. Dick Cheney leaves behind a legacy of death and destruction and nothing at all that's admirable. He will be forgotten.

Windows 11 and the current iteration of Sharepoint are basically unusable. Work gets done in spite of this hot garbage. Get an army of bulldozers and have them push every server farm that hosts this trash into the sea.

Nobody ever tells you about the big stupid smiles you'll wear perpetually when you have a kid. The whimsical nonsense is the strongest cure-all I've ever experienced.

I wonder if Lawrence Fishburn looks back at his time as Cowboy Curtis on Pee-Wee's Playhouse with fondness or embarrassment. I choose to believe fondness.

Amazingly our little town still has a local newspaper and in it recent reportage has highlighted a rise in tools being stolen from trades trucks and warnings about vehicle thefts. I remember this from before. It happened during the great recession. As a leading indicator.

Daughter found an old Canadian paper dollar in the house and after explaining paper money went to the foreign currency jar to get a Looney and show what they use now.

Then I realized how we Detroiters didn't notice how we stopped pocketing Canadian quarters with the shift the cards and phone pay.

You might not like it but this is what peak 1990s performance looked like. If you lived in Texas, every other vehicle on your street was exactly this or the GM equivalent.

My timing could not be funnier. I decided to finally put up gutters on our hundred year old garage only for nature to deliver the hardest drought since the 1980s.

I'll be in southern Ohio for something at the beginning of November and the National Museum of the Air Force has always been a bucket list item for me. Was planning on going but have zero hope it'll be open on account of the GOP's inability to govern. Thanks Trump.

I wonder how many tens of thousands of middle aged boomers in the 90s built hot rod template cars. God, Boyd Coddington must have made an absolute mint on all that billet junk jewelery he sold.
