Ben Franklin’s ghost
@ben-franklin-ghost.bsky.social
New England bioscience guy. Sports, history (esp US), science of all kinds, even politics now. We live in historically stupid times, but our potential is still great with common sense. No DMs
I’d expect Jack Smith to

1) honor Congressional subpoenas

2) insist on public hearings so his testimony reaches the people untainted

3) offer truthful and forthright testimony supported by solid documentation

4) make Gym, Republicans, and Trump regret ever having Jack Smith testify in Congress

Hey Admiral Bradley, how’s the view from under there?
December 2, 2025 at 11:14 PM
“Navy Vice Adm. Frank “Mitch” Bradley, who Leavitt said ordered the second strike, is expected to provide a classified briefing Thursday to lawmakers overseeing the military.”

Well, Admiral Bradley, I hope you took copious notes and recorded shit. And watch out for that bus!

How much did the turkeys have to pay for THEIR pardons?

So if you are a proud parent of a US service member, take heart that your child may kill or be killed for the noblest of causes.

A field day for American oil companies.

“Failure” depends entirely upon intent.

You ASSUME noble and honest intent. Change that assumption and you change your assessment.

Then you have to decide whether this administration is colossally incompetent or quite effective at being corrupt.

Or “I am Pres of US, I swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, so men and women of our military can rest assured I have only the interests of our nation in mind and therefore, I would never issue any orders contrary to the Constitution or international law.” Guess that lie is too much.
November 25, 2025 at 12:43 PM
An acknowledgment by the US president that he intends to issue illegal orders and he expects those illegal orders to be followed down the chain of command, in violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Why not just reassure Americans that of course he will only issue lawful commands?
November 25, 2025 at 12:36 PM
“Threat to western civilization”, eh? Exactly what is threatened?

100s of years of colonialism, slavery, and exploitation? Or democracy, representative government, rule of law, and science and education?

If the former, good riddance. If the latter, the current administration is THE primary threat.
November 22, 2025 at 2:44 PM
2 things:
1) a world leader who kidnaps, kills, and dismembers a journalist should not visit a country that has a free press if he wants to avoid questions about it
2) a world leader who gets angry about his guest being questioned should not host a world leader who kidnaps, murders, and dismembers.

No attempt to answer a question. Resorting to base name-calling is what the weak and feeble-minded do. Usually kids. When they lose. And they’re overmatched. That this is so often Trump’s reaction to reporters (especially women reporters) shows that he is weak, feebleminded and outclassed by them.
November 20, 2025 at 9:41 PM
Sounds like a plea from the Speaker for Americans to put Republicans back in the Congressional minority.
November 20, 2025 at 12:24 PM
It’s not even that we hate Trump. I do. Trump is all the worst characteristics a human can have rolled into one man.

We recognized from the very beginning that Trump posed an existential threat to democracy. Everyone except the most ignorant saw his malignancy. It was obvious; and you chose it.

Nixon’s AG went to prison.
November 15, 2025 at 12:38 AM
Lol. Release the files - we’ll do our own investigating.

Is this really Trump’s play? That Democrats and the people will fold on Epstein to protect someone?

Bluff called. Release the damn files!
November 14, 2025 at 5:52 PM
Yes, JD, we remember. You?
November 13, 2025 at 11:46 PM
Should I be worried?
November 13, 2025 at 11:41 PM
Sure, General Mike. Why don’t you just throw out a few names and specific accusations? Who acted inappropriately? What exactly did they do that was corrupt? Who benefited from their corrupt activities and who paid for them? Nebulous accusations of conspiracy are the realm of a weak mind. Details.
November 12, 2025 at 11:50 PM
“Oh”, indeed JD.

Keep asking, and it will come to you.
November 12, 2025 at 11:37 PM
Maybe make it easier for them:

how does Trump’s insurance plan differ from his plan when he arrived in Washington ~9 years ago?
November 12, 2025 at 1:31 PM
Excellent - Republicans are on the verge of either:

1) proposing government-funded single-payer healthcare coverage OR

2) proposing that if you can’t pay for healthcare (ie, find a job that ties your healthcare to your job), you shouldn’t have healthcare and might as well just die.

Where are the hanging the Epstein portrait? You can’t have the “Epstein Ballroom” without a portrait of Epstein.

That must be an old picture taken before Trump had half his ear shot off.
