Is three hours too long? I'd say yes, but #Stereophonic was still fantastic. Cast, set, costumes (yay 70s kaftans!), music and most importantly, the writing. Hilarious, moving and a proper musician's play even if you're not into Fleetwood Mac (allegedly).👏👏👏

Noooo - how can you fail to get excited at each new dino discovery? Also these velociraptor earrings.

Fuck me. Although why I'm surprised....
Also - Suffolk and Dorset???

When the world is going to shit, I recommend a trip to see bluebells if you can.

Surprised at how sad this has made me, not being Catholic nor indeed a Christian. Watching him on the balcony yesterday, having written that clear rebuke to Trump and fake Catholic Vance, I was moved by his determination to be there for the Easter address. RIP to a pretty good Pope.

The last time I went on an anti- fascist march was in the 80s. Hate that I have to do it again but yeah fuck you Tommy Ten-Names and your vile far right cohort.

80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. #neverforget

Bloody loved A Complete Unknown. Doesn't change my opinion of Bob Dylan being something of a dickhead but wow what a genius. And Chalamet sounds uncannily like him as does Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez. I so wish I'd been part of that era...

It may only be January but this is my film of the year.

Decisions decisions... which of these two do I crack open today? As we have a rat eating the bird food every morning unless I stand guard and spray it with a water pistol, I may go for Stowaway.

My first ever starling murmuration, thousands of them. Utter magic. All you can hear is their wings.

Hola! AdventWatch Day 15.
Not really driving the plot forward. Edit?
December 15, 2024 at 11:25 AM
It's the most wonderful time of the year.... love love love this gig so much. Always a joy and the audiences are ecstatic. Danny Elfman you are a genius.

AdventWatch Day 10!
See Day 2. Yehoshuah/Joshua. Not. Jesus.
December 10, 2024 at 8:53 AM
It's AdventWatch Day 8!
Guys, peak holiday season and also census (aka 'counting')
December 8, 2024 at 11:53 AM
AdventWatch Day 7. Now come on. I expect something a bit more specific from a £2.75 kids' Advent calender...

AdventWatch Day 6!
'Mum, why was Mary so tired?'
'Well darling, she was nine months pregnant and had just ridden on a (poor wee) donkey for 90 miles in the middle of winter.'

Who says electing a new Pope isn't exciting?
My favourite Robert Harris book turned into a dazzling, two-hours-zipped-by film. Go see.

Welcome to AdventWatch Day 5!
Will nobody think of the wee donkey?
December 5, 2024 at 9:34 AM
Good morning!
It's AdventWatch Day 4
Accurate but confusing. Could they not have added 'for the census'? I managed to fit it in using a crappy biro
December 4, 2024 at 8:56 AM
Advent calender Day 3. Glossing over a fair bit here, unlike the marvellous Cherry Tree Carol where Joseph snaps 'Let the father of the baby gather cherries for thee!'
December 3, 2024 at 8:37 AM
Advent calender Day 2 - edited for historical and cultural accuracy (leaving aside the whole BVM thing).
1. Miriam or Maryam, not Mary
2. Yehoshua or Joshua. Definitely not Jesus
Thank you for your attention.
