Micheál Martin today called this an 'alleged draft report'

There's nothing alleged about it

An NHS consultant conducted it and concluded that 80 percent of particular surgeries on children were unnecessary in one Dublin hospital

Here it is. In full

The obliteration of natural, species-rich grasslands via agri-intensification is the main cause in a crash of insects like butterflies, some species >80% in just 15 years.

The maddening thing is we KNOW the solutions.

Burning destroys floral diversity, and kills off any young trees that somehow managed to gain height despite the sheep. Only molinia grass comes back.

And that's without even touching on all the animal life wiped out.
Actually, scorched land like this represents an opportunity for regrowth if the sheep could just be removed. It's the free-ranging of sheep that is blighting our rural landscapes in upland areas.

I've just bought in a backup supply of about 75kg of assorted dry pulses + rice.

The worst outcome? I won't need to get any more of these things for quite a while.

All the indications are we're heading into highly unstable times, with a food system totally unfit to cope.
