She does not need energy to live. That is only to present one of her other two forms. She is fine just feeding from the feeling of despair, fear, and hatred; things that are easy for her to accomplish in her parasitic form.

Last: the parasitic form. Her true form shows when consuming a dream or there is no energy to keep one of the other two forms. It is the most intimidating in appearance of the three. She can use her tail as a weapon + summon more from shadows. It can extend to reach things from a distance.

There's the more common form. This form is the easier “disguise” to keep, not using as much energy to hold herself together. It also shows when she is affecting the mind of her host. It is a balance between her disguised and true form.
