One for next week 🗓️: The Globe Cinema is screening Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing (1989) on Thursday, August 21. Spike’s new film, Highest 2 Lowest, is out in a limited number of theatres this week, but it doesn’t look like there are any showtimes in Calgary 🥲. #yyc

Looking a few weeks out, tickets for the Jaws: 50th Anniversary re-release are on sale, for showtimes Aug. 29–Sept. 4. While it’s in IMAX at Chinook and Country Hills, the Plaza also just added it to their schedule. #yyc

On the big, big screen, Zach Cregger’s creepy-looking horror film Weapons has the majority of IMAX showtimes, but F1 is also racing back to Chinook and Country Hills for a few screenings, after becoming Brad Pitt’s highest-grossing movie ever. #yyc
