And that's exactly what is being pushed. Dismantlement of social, societal, and communal space.

Do not give up on your communities.

I'm writing all of this here, despite my small virtually non-existent following, in hopes of proving a point.

I do not have a community here. I do not have security. I do not have a societal belonging on this app. This plea will only be heard if it's pushed through the right algorithms.

By giving up online community spaces that have history and societal importance to you, you will further isolation. It will become harder to form bonds and sense of safety. Which, is a very common tactic that's been used to gain dominance over targeted groups since the conception of warfare.

Do not recklessly abandon your online communities because of current geopolitical decisions. Yes, I know, it sucks and it's hard, and it's not fair by any humane standard.

But I beg you, do not toss away social platforms that you have built security and belonging on.
