But Balin stands his ground, and pulls out a victory. Smiting down the Carn Dum warlord (and his orc jester).

Meanwhile the fight on the walls had been a meat grinder. Eventually, once few of his warriors were left Aldrac climes a ladder to face Balin (I was using Durin’s rules).
It went really badly for Balin at first, pushed back and reduced to 1 wound!

With the Angmar army now broken, and only held together by the will of the Witch King. Two khazad guard sprint off the walls to try and bring him down. They spend their lives well…

In turn ten, orcs start piling through the gate, that the Witch King had finally black darted open. I definitely should have made a busted version… Murin and his lads were ready to try and hold the line.

By turn eight the trolls had broken open the culvert, but the king (Gimli mini) and his warden teams were ready to stand firm.

The ballista tried to shoot the first orc up off the ladder, but miss fired and a khazad guard took a tumble. They didn’t survive outside the walls for very long.

My Dwarves defending against the horde of Angmar.
We bogged some of the ‘official’ rules, but made it work. Was a lot of fun. And really close to the end.

Definitely shouldn’t have left all the rimming till the end. It was exhausting rimming 24 guys one after each other.
