I had wiped this weekend’s fixture last season from my brain given we’ve played Newcastle 3 times since. Upon viewing the line up I remembered how we conceded the goal to Isak… Worst player on the pitch heading it directly to his feet. Neither player involved this time.

I’d like to see this team this weekend and then fitness prevailing to swap the fullbacks and Madueke in for Leeds. Possibly Havertz in for Gyokeres too. Hopefully that first 6 points and rotation will set us up nicely for Liverpool (a).

Bizarre world we live in where Max could still play in two Champions League pre knock out games as he could be registered at the beginning of January for the final two league phase matches.
