Jesus said to Martha, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live, even though he dies. And everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”
“Yes, Lord,” she told him. “I have always believed you are the Messiah, the Son of God." John 11

Jesus said, “The reason the Father loves Me is that I lay down My life in order to take it up again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of My own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from My Father.”

Jesus said, “My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand. My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”

Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me. And I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them in as well, and they will listen to My voice. Then there will be one flock and one shepherd.”

Jesus said, “The hour is coming when all who are in their graves will hear my voice and come out—those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.”

Jesus: "Whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life.
Truly, I tell you, the hour is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live."

I cannot read posts any longer. My double vision has returned and I become nauseated and dizzy when I read on the computer. I am waiting to see some specialists and hope they can find a cure. I am not discouraged, many people have worse physical problems than me.

Jesus: “I tell you, the Son can do nothing by Himself, unless He sees the Father doing it. For whatever the Father does, the Son also does. The Father loves the Son and shows Him all He does. For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whom He wishes."

Excellent question. The answer, sadly, is that Trump doesn’t give a damn about what’s best for America.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1

A guy stopped me at the train station and asked if I could buy him lunch, which I was happy to do. As we were waiting for our bagels, he said he knew he could count on me because the only people who wear floppy hats are grandmas and men of God. I told him close enough on both counts. 👵🏻 🕯️

Marilyn Monroe, born 99 years ago today.

When Ella Fitzgerald couldn’t get booked at the Mocambo Club because she was Black, Monroe (at the height of her own fame) called the owner and told him if he booked Ella, she would take a front table every night.

And she did.

God says, “When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily.
But wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability.
Evil people don’t understand justice,
but those who follow the LORD understand completely.
When the wicked take charge, people go into hiding." Proverbs 28

A family member voted for Trump and likes RFK because she wants free speech in America. Now RFK is ending free speech for scientists and doctors.

God says, “Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to die;
save them as they stagger to their death.
Don’t excuse yourself by saying, “Look, we didn’t know.”
For God understands all hearts, and he sees you.
He who guards your soul knows you knew.
He will repay all people as their actions deserve."

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not easily angered, it keeps no account of wrongs. Love takes no pleasure in evil, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
