This late blooming, red flowered
species is actually very cold hardy and makes a great choice to extend the Azalea blooms season in your garden
A red flower Rhododendron prunifolium. Three red flowers in the center of green leaves the flowers have five petals and our star shaped the flowers have that are extremely long and extending almost the length of the flower away from the plant. A larger view of Rhododendron, prunifolium showing that the leaves form a smooth canopy with the red flowers displayed on the surface of the leaf canopy
