Exactly my question. I had a neighbor whose abusive husband planned his divorce for years. He went to EVERY law firm in our area and gave them a retainer and she couldn’t find anyone to represent her in the divorce. It was diabolical! And he is an ICU doc making a huge income. She got screwed.

So does this mean that these law firms will have an established conflict of interest in defending ANYTHING that is contrary to the current administration? Is this the equivalent of a retainer fee that ties their hands going forward?
