They announced this in August 2024, so I really hope it comes to fruition in 2026. At least we are seeing a huge increase in focus on the women's game here. It used to be less than an afterthought, but now there's more meaningful game time and more sponsorship. And, of course, the great coaches.

To be fair, he was part of the Wallabies squad that made the QFs in 2019, if I'm not mistaken. But that doesn't really lend his opinion much more legitimacy 😂

It seems he said that it's harder to win the 6N because there's only 5 games, so you have to win them all to claim the title, whereas it's possible to lose a pool game & still win the RWC. But that's pretty rare, while ~50% of 6N winners don't get the grand slam, so it's just flawed logic all round.

Yeah, that red card was a massive blow, both during the game and for the playoffs if she gets banned. And Nadine is an absolute legend, she looks like she can just keep going forever, but we can't play her into the ground. Hopefully she's okay for Saturday.

I think it makes sense. Realistically, they were pretty unlikely to beat a full strength France to top the pool, so why not rest some key players and ensure their availability for a QF they'd already qualified for.
