Finished a piece as a house warming gift for my folks. Peach Cranes by Owlforest. Did a bunch of variegated thread substitutions, I think the colours turned out well. Also first time using var. thread, fiddly but nice effect! #crossstitch #embroidery

Cross stitch WIP update: the cranes are done, now for all the various embellishments. Not a pattern I'd normally select but it's a housewarming present for my parents and I think/hope they'll like it. Thought I'd have a few weeks to finish it but turns out they're moving next week! Eek!

I've officially upgraded my cross stitch set up (Lowery stand)! Already a game changer being able to stitch with both hands, instead of using one hand to just hold the frame, worth every penny (and it was a lot of pennies...).

Completed in April 2023, pattern by CutePatternsByMaria. First time blending threads, a bit fiddly but created a lovely gradient #crossstitch
