I am LTC Steve Holden (Ret.), husband, father, Democrat & NY24 Congressional hopeful. I aim to build bridges, not seek further division. | holdenforcongress.org
November is a time when we recognize and celebrate the deep history, culture, and contributions of Native peoples, especially here in Upstate New York, home to the Haudenosaunee Nations whose roots run deep across this land.

Then on Sunday, I joined Erich Asperschlager in Schuyler County as he makes his bid for the Legislature. Erich brings real energy, insight, and common sense, the kind of servant leadership that unites folks from all sides.

This weekend was all about people power.

On Saturday, it was great walking with Stephen Cady as we work to get him across the finish line for the Walworth Town Board. Big thanks to Wayne County Chair Scott Comegys for his steady leadership and support out there.

While families across NY-24 are working hard just to put food on the table, Claudia Tenney is busy cozying up to wealthy donors. I’m here at Ontario Tops to remind her, leadership means showing up for the people, not the powerful.

Tomorrow, I’ll be outside Claudia Tenney’s Canandaigua office at noon to stand up for the people she’s left behind. Join me as we #HoldenThemAccountable and make sure every family and farmer in NY-24 has a voice.

Another great weekend across NY-24!

Friday night, I kicked things off in Schuyler County at their Fall Fundraiser in Watkins Glen. Big thanks to Indivisible Schuyler, Mike, and the Schuyler County Dems for an incredible night!

Trump says Claudia Tenney “fights for the people of NY-24.” But her voting record tells a different story.

She voted against rebuilding our roads and bridges, against lowering prescription drug costs, and against care for veterans exposed to burn pits.

Hard to believe we’re just 10 days out from the 2025 General Election. Voter registration ends tomorrow, AND Early Voting begins tomorrow.
Every voice matters, and it starts with showing up.

No one should have to beg their member of Congress for basic compassion.

The Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act ends the cruel 29-month wait for Medicare and disability coverage for people who are already fighting for their lives.

Yesterday’s canvassing was something special. I had the chance to knock on doors for my good friend Lisa Moore and the great South Bristol team.

Lisa and Chris Bennem are like family to me.

Another great weekend across NY-24!

From Cayuga to Oswego, Newark to Seneca Falls, and all the way to Canandaigua and Adams - our team was on the move. We met friends old and new, stood with community leaders, and rallied with neighbors who are ready for change.

I appreciate Claudia acknowledging this conversation and calling me the frontrunner in NY-24.

But a quiet tweet from a campaign account isn’t moral leadership, it’s political maintenance.

Claudia Tenney needs to speak up.

Her friends in the New York Young Republicans are out here saying “I love Hitler” and joking about sending people to gas chambers, and she’s said nothing.

Silence isn’t leadership, it’s complicity.

Holden for Congress has been out and about across NY-24 this week!

On Tuesday night, Steve was in Schuyler County watching local Democratic candidates in action. Congratulations to everyone who stepped up and showed what real leadership looks like.

It was great to be in Seneca Falls yesterday supporting Jennifer Kuplinski Wick in her race for Town Supervisor.

Jennifer has the experience, the integrity, and the heart for public service.

It’s been another great weekend across NY-24. Things kicked off Thursday night in Geneva, where I joined a powerful event full of neighbors and friends ready to bring fresh energy and leadership to their city.

I spent over twenty years in the Army managing billion-dollar budgets and making sure people got paid on time. When you’re responsible for others, you don’t walk away from your post and blame somebody else. You get the job done.

Terrorism must be condemned. So must collective punishment. The path forward cannot be endless war; it must be justice, peace, and the courage to recognize each other’s humanity.

When New Yorkers speak up, we make a difference.
After public pressure, the Trump administration reversed course and restored $187 million in counterterrorism funding to New York.

Big weekend ahead, friends!

On Saturday, I’ll be in Geneva for the “Where is the Love” Peaceful Protest in the afternoon, then heading to North Dansville in the evening for a Spaghetti Dinner with the local Democratic Committee.

The shutdown is hitting veterans and military families hard. LTC Steve Holden explains what VA services are still running, what’s impacted, and where to get help. Our vets deserve better than Washington’s games.
October 2, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Our service members deserve leaders who respect them,l give them clear direction, & who will never play politics with their lives. I will always stand with those who put everything on the line for this country. They deserve nothing less.
