For a couple of years I was responsible for the company style guide updates. Nobody wanted to do it and I volunteered (I was one of a large team of editors). I considered it a treat; I loved working on it! It's fun putting your own personal stamp on a style guide.

The House of Nine Locks is interesting and different and a cracking good read. If you want more info, here's my review books.beledit.com/house-with-n...
The House With Nine Locks | Philip Gray - BelEdit Book Reviews
A gripping tale of forgery, set in Belgium in the mid 20th century. Well written, infused with the spirit of 'belgitude'.

Impossible question ! The two are not clearly distinct and include so much! A vampire that travels through time.... Fantasy or sci-fi? A drug that causes zombies... Fantasy or sci-fi? Aliens among us... Fantasy or sci-fi?

Hang on, when did writing mindless 'news' articles (clickbait content) become so performative?

I mostly read 1-star reviews. If I'm reading reviews, I'm already drawn to the book, already have a positive impression-so I don't need to read pos reviews. 1-stars tell me something I didn't know. It might tell me the reviewer is an idiot (e.g. warns about 'cussing' or 'sex scenes') I can ignore.

The abusers always get the benefit of the doubt. Always. I am crying for that poor child.

Blaming the young women who danced at this disgusting gatsby party is so missing the point. Putting the onus on these young women to stand up for what's right rather than pointing out every single attendee gawking, clapping and cheering along.

It definitely should

Fuck this priest, fuck all the many, many fucked-up priests and fuck the Catholic church. Actually, fuck all religion - it breeds hypocrisy and the many other evils of twisted minds.
