But, to do this mutual-collaboration and exchange built on long-term relationships and trust building is crucial. These are the kinds of processes that methods in the Humanities and Social Sciences allow for and why I moved from a Master of Science to doing my Doctorate in Cultural Anthropology.

I strongly believe in the necessity of working in collaboration with traditional communities who have a long-standing history and expertise in navigating altered states of consciousness to inform the widespread introduction of psychedelic tools in modern society.

Thank you! I think with the increasing global interest in plant medicines it is important to acknowledge that ayahuasca is more than a psychedelic, and serves a function of establishing inter-species contact and ongoing relationality and exchange. And also to you, from Oceania!
