More people needed to read the Critical Thinking text that was required reading for my philosophy course on critical thinking.

The eldest child has taken it upon herself to coordinate sibling costumes for the last few years. They’ve don’t Team Rocket, the Links from Legend of Zelda: Four Swords, Star Trek, and this year, squishmallows. Well. Sort of.

They dressed in the corresponding costumes of their squishmallows.

Definitely thought something was wrong with my car the first time I drove across.

But also, this is from the hill just before the bridge.

And the bridge itself is elevated quite a bit over the Peace River.

Seems that Sam Bird has been located.

I cannot imagine the horrors his family has endured, the difficulties ahead of them.

There’s a beautiful sentiment here (love your kids no matter how well they perform on exams) that is clouded in bullshit.

Like, imagine an athlete that doesn’t know some kind of physics in their body.

But also, entrepreneurs not knowing history is why we have technofascists.

This really isn’t a good way to break it down. The Northern health authority is huge with respect to land mass. Like Haida Gwaii to Pouce Coupe - practically the whole width of the province. With the Rocky Mountains down the middle. And from the very northern most border to south of Prince George.

Sometimes I feel like I’m missing context but this morning, it was all in the right place for me:

I'm not familiar with protocols around medicine wheels, but something feels odd to me about the placement here in our community centre's newly repaved parking lot.

Anyone have any insight to share so I can get over this or direct the appropriate critique to town hall?

Morning chuckle courtesy of FB ignoramus, on a post advertising a land reclamation course at a university in the north:

“Stop pumping out zealots”

From what I can only assume is a faked account because *gestures*

I could see a flag on top of the abandoned beaver lodge from a long ways off. Could tell it was a Canada flag as it flapped in the wind and was very annoyed until I got close enough to see that it was upside down.

Still not sure why it's there, or the significance of the satellite TV receiver.

I think I threw up a little.

A tongue-in-cheek poll for colour of the year:

Mine was “Twisted Poison”.

One of the contracts I have right now is bookkeeping for a condo building. And one of my “bosses” (sort of) lives in the building and has the most adorable red Boston terrier puppy.

Omg the cuteness.

This thing is tiny still, but legs for miles and energy to match.

This pic is from a month ago

Wait wait wait. Isn’t the Conservative Party in favour of privatized health care? This is a rich critique from Rustad.

Anyway, 99% of the time, users who block me are on lists like “TERFs, bigots, etc” or like some of the following:

It's interesting to me that digital communication like social media has prompted so many emojis (enabled on keyboards, specifically), but we haven't really seen new punctuation.

I, for one, would love a sarcmark and a snark mark, at the very least.

Imagine how much more efficient texts could be.

On Monday, there was a very unique moth inside the post office.

At first glance from a distance, I thought maybe it was leaf litter. But it’s a little early for yellow.

Hahaha, the sarcasm of this post by @tim0theos.bsky.social is likely totally lost on the people he responded to.

My youngest was due July 2. I really wanted to have a “Fuck Colonialism” baby born on July 1, so we could celebrate survival in the face of genocide.

But noooo. Baby decided to be 11 days late instead. The only one (out of 4) that was “late” ever.

Is there a lucrative market for cattle vaccine?

Just wondering why they are emailing a graphic designer in Canada to help with this.

Seems like there would be much more suitable people to email this scam.

For shame @support.bsky.team , @moderation.bsky.app.

Quit targeting Indigenous people with your sham moderation. Quit letting racists game your moderation system to target Indigenous people.

Free Keyah, reinstate her account.
