I just called/messaged my US Representative & Senator to voice my concerns about what is happening in our Federal Govt right now.
I asked what we could do to help and she said “Call!” They tally those! Even if you can’t get through on the phone, go to their contact form and fill it out. It matters!

Trying to stay sane amidst the turbulence here in the U.S., I decided to plant some native California poppies.
I spent hours meticulously preparing the bed and optimistically planted the seeds.
Then my dogs dug it up in a minute the next day.
Kind of a perfect metaphor for what’s happening here.

Trying to stay sane amidst the turbulence here in the U.S., I decided to plant some native California poppies.

I remember thinking at the time that this could never happen here in the U.S., but shockingly, here we are.
