A friend of mine was talking the other day about how important connecting with soil, especially growing food is for us as humans. “Give all your cares to the soil.” That thought has really stuck with me eventually found its way into a painting.

Anyone ever trip over barbed wire as a kid? Not fun. I used a watercolor wash under these comic pages and it was fun to experiment with adding movement just by the brush strokes under the drawing.
