Intermezzo is my first Sally Rooney novel, so my reaction to it as a reader comes from a very unadulterated space.

There is something very special about Irish authors and they deployment of stream of consciousness, how they use it to bend the English language, shape it and reshape it. 1/6

I've been looking up "kidulting" and ultimately fell into a kindred rabbit hole: the boomerang generation. These are the (young) adults who graduated after the 2000s, lived alone or independently, but had to go back & live with their parents as money is tight. The BOOMERANG generation. Lord.
