He definitely won the first one due to the fact that he had a lot of stated positions that bucked GOP orthodoxy at the time. And he still only won a narrow election in a year where anti-incumbent sentiment was quite high.

I'm going down a strange rabbithole and I've discovered or some reason typing "哔哩哔哩.exe" on reddit seems to result in some kind of "blocked by network security" error.

It's a possibility, but I think I've also seen stuff like this, where news attentiveness correlates with Harris support, which makes me think it's not really something that about college education specifically, rather than some kind of latent socioeconomic status or something.

I've been reading the Roshidere LNs and this feels like a missed opportunity, frankly, because like, gee, I wonder if we have an otaku character would be willing to sneak into his house to set up such a cliched situation specifically to troll him...hmm...

I want to hear about train robberies, not Sam's dumb, unsolicited opinions on foreign policy. (He's saying "This route goes through the Suez Canal, which is great, except when the U.S.'s foreign policy is 'do stuff which pisses off people who can block our access to the Suez Canal'".

Every so often I see something on Twitter that makes me think "that's actually a good idea" and I just think, "if only the rest of the site was this healthy"

The telescopes use Mass Effect fields so they can only see the present...or something who the fuck knows. This sort of idea has come up before. For some reason, DC Comics had Neil DeGrasse Tyson cameo in a Superman comic where he witnesses Krypton's destruction.

The three remaining players, myself, France, and Austria, have agreed to a draw. Thus bringing this game, and this thread, to an end here during Spring 1910.

Here we see the results of Winter 1909, with the final destruction of Turkey and Russia. I'm also seen building an army in Edinburgh, presumably with the intention to convoy it to continental Europe at some point, and Austria is seen building all they can (which is 2 out of the 3 builds they earned,

A fascinating phase revealing a hidden facet of the game's fault lines as both myself and France support Austria into Sevastopol. This action, combined with my capture of Warsaw, guarantees Russia's elimination, while Austrian captures of Rumania and Ankara guarantees Turkey's. Despite the seeming

I belatedly occupy Warsaw as the final days of Russia seem to be nigh as Turkey also surprisingly occupies Sevastopol, albeit as Austria occupies Turkey's remaining two centers in Ankara and Rumania. I make a couple of moves that imply that I'd like to convoy the army left on the isles to the

Onto builds for this year, I built a fleet in Edinburgh, Austria built an army in Budapest, and Turkey disbanded the fleet in Ankara. It's difficult to say what all of these are for and how this will shape the game at this stage, but we shall soon see.

A maelstrom of events here in Fall 1908, first we have me taking Moscow, but failing to retake Warsaw as Russia bounces me out. However Russia won't lose any units as they were able to retreat to Sevastopol, which was left vacant by Turkey, who takes Rumania, only being able to do so because Austria

My attempt to conquer the remnants of Russia ran into an embarrassing error as I mistakenly order Livonia to Warsaw instead of Moscow (the latter move was supported by St. Petersburg, but because it doesn't occur it doesn't go through). This is known as a self-bounce, a legitimate tactic, albeit

We have a French army build in Marseilles, which suggests they may still have some intentions in the south, and an English army build in London, which likely indicates an intent to convoy somewhere on the mainland, while potentially being defensive towards France.

The Austrian army in Bulgaria was forcibly disbanded (so despite having gone down a center they don't have to disband) and Turkey opted to retreat their fleet to Constantinople to defend their center rather than Eastern Mediterranean.
