Husband and I finally put up Christmas decorations yesterday. It’s hot cocoa in the AM and milk and fresh cookies in the evening. Gifts are hid and stockings are up and stuffed!

For 1yr, I woke up at 5am to spend 10-12hr/day in the hospital—running around, constantly being evaluated, and helping to care for patients. And had to study for a 110q exam I’d have at the end of each rotation.
If I had stopped to consider the insanity of it all, I wouldn’t have made it through 🙂↕️

I’m certainly a size S but I should get a M so I can wear sweaters and such if needed. And so I can wear it for years and years and years.

The blatant refusal when there’s no barrier to just helping is just terrible. Help your people omg.

You can’t expect success from someone without giving them help to reach it, especially if you’re family!
I’ll be showing up for my kids the same way my mom showed up for me. Every practice, assignment, interview, project, issue, etc. Like you cannot do the bare for your family and friends. Nah.

I can call my mom at 3am for a document I need in an hour, and she’ll wake up no matter to get it for me. It’s strange when I don’t see others parents willing to do that.

But it’s also so frustrating to see someone else doing something in a way that leads to more delays+ frustration.

I’m a ‘know it all’ and as smart as my husband is (academically and w/life stuff), he is truly still human.
I’m saving my energy, showing empathy, letting him figure out this thing, *and* resisted the urge to harp on the issue to get him to move his feet quicker.
So hard, but I’ve gotta grow 🥹😂
