Im happy to have found out about this, especially coz you apparently already have an android client. I say apparently because the app store tells me your app is unavailable in my country (Czechia). I cant be banned if I can never get the app in the first place :D

Really happy to be seeing the personal development updates. What keeps me from funding this promising project is that it isn't open source. I know there is a plan to do that, but until it is opened, Im hesitant. I wonder whether what the reason for the delay may be?

Hell yeah! Looking forward to the Beta!

Arent these trials focusing on measuring the factors of a specific mental health issue (ADHD, Depression, OCD...)?
I dont know the scales used here, but I do know that a more open-ended and explorative methodology, such as phenomenology, may be needed to determine whether it is or isnt all placebo.

Thanks for offering to help even if it isnt within the field you are used to the most ^^

I think the issue here is in the lack of open and well-thought dialog with Psymposia, without which their blindspots remained hidden to all, including themselves. I think they have made some contributions to the field, but unfortunately became too self-righteous in their pursuit and overstepped.

For me, it is saddening to see how the mainstreaming of psychedelics has also meant that the problems of popular culture have seeped into this movement. Problems such as relying on profit-prioritizing investors, abusing patent laws, and now culture war and echo chamber.

Reading it led me to watch the three live FDA comments on Psymposia's youtube channel as well as finding this somewhat new video where Hamilton Morris talks about not just Psymposia (link below). Great addition to the article I think.

My own first hand anecdotes of mingling around an array of people with psy experience suggest that for some, having a difficult to resolve crisis motivates them to seek out a psy experience. Peer groups, research and media likely play a role in opening them up too.

I knew about it as it was a big reason for me to come here. When I first searched for the app on the F-droid store, I was a bit sad that it was not there.

From the walk, I found that curiosity played a key role in opening us up to learning about nature and that the focus on smells may have helped us connect and remember with the visited places. The artworks may then work as stories about human-environment interactions that can engage other people too.

Along the walk, we made notes about the smells and discussed our experiences, as smells evoke emotions and memories. Then, we sat down and painted/drew on papers our representations of how the smellwalk felt to us. Here you can see the artworks we made - a collage and a smellmap.

Thank you for your posts, Jason :)
During my bachelor I had a minor in psychology of everyday life as part of which we did a small psychedelic phenomenological study of the trip and the afterglow period. The study you cite sounds a bit like an upgrade of what we did, minus the phenomenology.

This is a good basis, but the implementation of a new education system needs more than a theory for learning. How should education be organized sustainably? Who could be the first adopters? How can further growth in scale and quality be fostered?
