I work in the industry. If worried about heavy metals- dairy better than veggie, and North American sourced better than Of Asian origin (related to soil). No one will label sourcing, but I’d avoid organic veggie protein- a lot comes from China due to cost, and that’s where heavy metals are rampant.

FWIW, read a response on Reddit from a former finalist that said that memorization forced him into thinking about inconsistencies in what he was reciting, which led him far away from his ultra-conservative upbringing. But probably on the rarer side of experiences.
