Maybe my brain is broken, but I genuinely thought the main reason most American social media companies keep American government accounts around is because they think moderating them would lose too many Republican users.

Ok, so instead of being sued, they're afraid of being bought out by Elon, Supreme Court cases, multiple congressional hearings, hundreds of millions of dollars in legal fees, and so on.

Fair enough, but I think users deserve to know who gets permission to violate TOS.
