Dreams in 35mm.
Nightingale for eats (get the fried chicken), Keefer Bar for cocktails, Danbo for Ramen.

You are legally required to go to Gastown and take a picture of the steamclock. No it’s not exciting. Yes it runs on steam.

Take the sea bus from downtown to Lonsdale Quay. Best views of the city at night.

Believe me you’re better off innocent to this. A little Sesame Street might help the sadness though!

It’s completely unstructured nonsense. He literally just ad-libs everything. Babies and children crave structure, which is why having a repeating schedule is imperative for their brain development. Children’s TV shows understand this—see Sesame Street or Blues Clues

(2/2) The wealth created during the Renaissance was, at the end of the day, passed on through noble families or people of status. The IR allowed capitalism to expand to anyone who had enough influence to have others work for them.

(1/2) While technically true (the best kind of true!) it’s important to narrow the historical context a reasonable amount: the industrial revolution was absolutely the result of hundreds of years of advancement, but capitalism’s explosion is directly tied to it.

Prior to the Industrial Revolution, it just wasn’t feasible to found a company that gave you that kind of power, unless you had wealth (in which case you were likely a monarch)

I apologize, I may have misinterpreted your earlier comment. That understanding is correct, but (to try and tie it to your earlier bit) the IR allowed one person to own a company big enough to employ thousands of people. And subsequently, treat them all badly enough that they refused to work

They have everything to do with each other. The industrial revolution and capitalism went hand in hand: the first socialists were factory workers for a reason.
