Dreaming about being in the books I read.
18+ as I'll probably talk about smut on here.
She/Her.
As I make my way through every monster romantasy I can get my hands on, I've been thinking about which monster I think I'd fall for in these universes. And shit man, that's a tough decision. Don't even get me started on alien romantasy! Damn all you freaky authors who fuel my lusty daydream needs 😂

🧵 I finished the ARC for Hallow Cove's Screwed by the Minotaur by @jeniferwood.bsky.social

It was supposed to be a one-night stand... but now they're next-door neighbors.

The Hallow's Cove series has been so fun to read. But this one! Oh my word.

Signing up to get ARCs from some of my favorite authors. Personally, I find it intimidating to do. Why choose lil ol me? But then I remember I'm a badass who likes badass books by badass authors. Fingers crossed I get selected 🤞

I finished The Bromance Book Club this morning, bawling of course. While making breakfast I turned on Ray Lamontagne.
Lemme tell ya, his music is a great soundtrack for that book. Let It Be Me was the song that made me feel this way.
What artist/album do you feel pairs well with your current read?

I've read a few books recently where the FMC has feelings and thoughts that are so close to my own, it triggered me. It made me envious of the lives they get to lead within those feelings and thoughts. Reading has been my only escape from this world lately until it brings it right back into my face.

Life had run away from me. I've been so busy and stressed, that I'm barely reading at all! I did start writing though!

In the meantime, what's your favorite space travel-related, science fiction book? I need a break from smut. It's all blending together now.

I decided to start writing a book. I've thought about it for so long that I'm biting the bullet and doing it. As of right now, it's not my intention to ever publish it. Mainly because I currently cannot handle my art being perceived by the world. Maybe I'll get over that by the time i finish it. 💁‍♀️

Life has been hectic. I haven't been reading as much! But! Work had been slow... so i pulled up Libby on my desktop and am reading some fantasy romance instead of listening to audiobooks. My poor ears need a break from headphones for a bit.

Happy Rex Manning Day! Damn the man!

Since my library is getting rid of Hoopla in May, I'm reading all the books I can before it's gone. They have books on there that my library doesn't. I need to get library cards from SF and LA to help me broaden my search for all the smutty books 🤣

🧵/1 California State Library Palace Project app for more books with no library card:
"Five steps to access California’s Bookshelf and create a virtual library card:
1. Download the free Palace Project app on your device.
2. In the app, use “find my library” function to find “California’s Bookshelf.”

Hey there fellow book lovers!
How do I be part of the ARC club?

Please give me all the advice on how to do it, and who you love to receive ARCs from!

I'm about to be real house poor, so I need something to keep me inside, not spending as much money 😉

My local library is getting rid of our Hoopla accounts. Not enough people were using it. Only 10% of e-content usage was from Hoopla. It was just too expensive to keep 😭 time to see what other CA counties offer it and I'll go get library cards there.

I joined a book club! It's on Discord with occasional meetups. It's my first time in a book club. I'm slowing down the audiobook speed (to 1.25x) for this month's book so I can really digest it. I'm excited to chat over it after I'm done reading it.

This month's book is Quicksilver by Callie Hart.

I'm listening to a series of contemporary fairy tale retellings. The first one is Hooked, based off Peter Pan's Wendy and Hook. Peter isn't the hero. He's an asshole father. Hook is charming, in a violent way. Tinkerbell is Tina Bella. Sexy thriller. I'm here for it. Give it a read 🤩

I need to be kidnapped and left in a cottage in the middle of nowhere with all the books. Granted, my remaining family is even more broke than I am, so the napper won't get a randsom... but we could start a book club. Just as long as it's only once a month and I'm left alone otherwise.

I finished Lights Out by Navessa Allen.
Even though it's not my kind of kink, Navessa writes so well that I was into it! I love it when authors can transcend you into their books.
I even, out loud, moaned and squealed at one point 😂

Life has been so busy for me, my reading amount has gone down. I haven't had the energy to listen while I take care of things in the life.
I'm struggling to finish books. Ugh.

What do you do when you're in a reading slump/block?
March 3, 2025 at 11:44 PM
It's almost the end of the month. Don't forget to use up your Hoopla loans. I'm on my last one for the month now.

Evangeline Anderson write books with plus size women as the main character. I love the books I've read so far from her. The current listen, The Throne of Shadows, is supposedly very spicy. We will see! Mama needs some smutty romance in her life right now 😆

Back on my flying thru audiobooks nonsense haha. Finished one this morning, and already on to a new one. Gotta keep my mind busy while I work and while we paint our new house 😍

It took me 2 days short of a month to finish Onyx Storm. It's a constantly intense book, which was hard to enjoy while we are globally experiencing an intense timeline. OS is a good book, but damn it's the wrong time for it to come out. The amount of disassociating due to the book was nice, though.
February 18, 2025 at 8:11 PM
This is the first time I've had to renew a loan on an audiobook. The world is so intense that sometimes I just can't listen to an intense book. I'm 85% through a 24-hour read. I can do this!
